We offer weekend and weekly retreats at our hand-crafted octagon. Come and experience rural life, relish the phenomenal vistas, and get away from your everyday world.

The Octagon is fully equipped with all the comforts of home. A fully stocked kitchen with all implements. A gas powered fridge and range with oven, solar powered lights and outlets for small appliances and for charging computers and cell phones, a delightful outdoor solar shower/tub and a quaint outhouse at your service. There are also six excellent camping sites adjacent to the octagon with kitchen, shower, and flush toilet. There is also an additional outside kitchen area located by the fire ring. Perfect for summertime outdoor living.

A romantic getaway, a writer’s retreat, or small parties – the octagon is uniquely styled to suit your desires. Featuring a cupola with a sleep or hang out zone that has incredible views from all windows and one queen size bed on the main floor.

Rates are as follows: Two-night minimum.

Weekend (Friday – Sunday): $150 a couple, $200 3 to 5 people.

Each camp is $20 for the weekend

You are responsible for supplying your own food, towels, bedding and toiletries. A big part of our charm is that we are remote– the closest store is 30 minutes away; remember this when packing.

If you are interested in eating from our plentiful organic garden we encourage an exchange with all of our guests for a basket of goodies

For a donation you can join mountain man on an adventure around the area, from exploring down the cascades and waterfalls along the creek to bouldering and climbing at the local crags. Or a day spent learning functions of the farm, carving a spoon, fire making and wilderness living skills or the jump off point with the pack goats into the wilds without the heavy pack. A year round creek with dipping pools and waterfalls runs right by the octagon. Tons of hiking and great relaxing zones abound. Hang out with our goats, marvel at the chickens and read books all day if you want.
